5 Minutes Flat - How To Do Your Own Makeup for a Photoshoot; my 10 Minute Tutorial

Alright guys you are about to see something great! But first...

If you don't already know me I'm Kate! Nick is my partner in crime, and we are the directors and all round awesome people that do your photos at Pointe Shoot Love Photography!

We are Wedding photographers, Dance photographers, Portrait photographers.. basically we like to take photos of everything. We are based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, but we definitely will travel if you ask us to!

If we aren't taking photos, you can be sure to find us drinking coffee on the couch, binge watching a TV show on Netflix and fighting for attention from our puppies, Daisy & Duke.

^^^This is us^^^

Now I am going to visually answer a question we get asked ALL of the time -

how should I do my makeup? how should I do my daughter's makeup?

Lucky for you, I'm a makeup artist - for any of you locals, I used to work at Starshots Glamour Portrait Studio at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore. While also studying with Demi International, I was lucky enough to do all my "on the job" training with the ladies at Starshots, where our goal was a full face of photographic makeup in 20 minutes!

Don't worry though, I'm not going to show you full photographic makeup, why?!

Because most people want a "natural" makeup look.

What i'm going to show you is how to do your makeup, naturally, for a location or studio photoshoot, in 5 minutes flat, with as few products as possible.

Now if you know me personally, you'll know that I am the "what you get is what you see" girl.

I don't often like to wear makeup - if i'm wearing mascara, its likely a REALLY special occasion. I wash my hair but that's usually as far as styling it goes, and I live in activewear, because who knows when Nick has booked us in for the gym?!

So this is how I do my own makeup, and it's perfect for anyone who doesn't love wearing makeup - like me - but knows that they probably should for photo purposes.

**I want to stress this is meant to be a simple and basic makeup tutorial, I'm not going to show you how to do the 'Perfect Winged Eyeliner' or how to 'Cut Crease.' This is purely a "natural" makeup look, suitable for a photoshoot with natural light**

Guys... here it is - my "5 Minutes Flat... in 10 minutes" makeup for photoshoot tutorial.
