5 Minutes Flat - How To Do Your Own Makeup for a Photoshoot; my 10 Minute Tutorial

Alright guys you are about to see something great! But first...

If you don't already know me I'm Kate! Nick is my partner in crime, and we own Pointe Shoot Love Photography! We are Wedding photographers, Dance photographers & (all kinds of) Portrait photographers, based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensand, Australia.

If we aren't taking photos, you can be sure to find us drinking coffee on the couch, binge watching a TV show on Netflix and fighting for attention from our English Staffy puppy, Daisy.

^^^Thats us^^^

Now I am going to visually answer a question we get asked ALL of the time -

how should I do my makeup? how should I do my daughter's makeup?

Lucky for you, I'm a makeup artist - for any of you locals, I used to work at Starshots Glamour Portrait Studio at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore. I worked there for 4 years, mainly as a photographer, but also as a hair & makeup artist. I studied with Demi International and was lucky enough to do all my training with the ladies at Starshots, where our goal was a full face of photographic makeup in 20 minutes!

Don't worry though, I'm not going to show you full photographic makeup, why, because most of my clients are shot on location, with natural light.

What i'm going to show you is how to do your makeup, naturally, for a location photoshoot, in 5 minutes flat, with as few products as possible.

Now if you know me personally, you'll know that I am the "what you get is what you see" girl. I don't wear makeup - if i'm wearing mascara, its likely a special occasion. I wash my hair but that's usually as far as styling it goes. And I live in active wear - #LornaJaneActive
So this is how I do my own makeup, and is perfect for anyone who doesn't love wearing makeup - like me - but knows that they probably should.

**I want to stress this is meant to be a simple and basic makeup tutorial, I'm not going to show you how to do the 'Perfect Winged Eyeliner' or how to 'Cut Crease.' This is purely a "natural" makeup look, suitable for a photoshoot with natural light**

Guys... here it is - my" 5 Minute Flat, in 10 minutes" makeup for photoshoot tutorial.
